Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dans Le Harem by Gyula Tornai was auctioned at Artcurial in June 2012. The price achieved of EUR 12,870.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gyula Tornai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Travelling Musicians, Tangier in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 170,500.00 (€ 219,490.04).

Die Arbeit Dans Le Harem von Gyula Tornai kam im Juni 2012 bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.870,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gyula Tornai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Travelling Musicians, Tangier im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 170.500,00 (€ 219.490,04).
