Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included this untitled work by Gwon Osang. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 10,073.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gwon Osang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Action Sampler in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 547,500.00 (€ 45,073.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gwon Osang zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 10.073,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gwon Osang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Action Sampler im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 547.500,00 (€ 45.073,75).
