This artwork by Guy Dill achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2021. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California auction, the work Banker'S Knot Angel, Circa 1999 sold for USD 10,837.50 (€ 9,361.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guy Dill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vidal (Notes from the Campus Gate Series), 1992, which sold at auction in April 2021 for USD 37,812.50 (€ 31,431.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guy Dill erzielte im September 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California wurde die Arbeit Banker'S Knot Angel, Circa 1999 für USD 10.837,50 (€ 9.361,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Guy Dill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vidal (Notes from the Campus Gate Series), 1992 beobachtet, die im April 2021 für USD 37.812,50 (€ 31.431,84) versteigert wurde.
