A top price for Gustave Hierholtz - as previously expected
The work An Indochinese Buddhist Monk by Gustave Hierholtz was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2011. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 10,862.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 140,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, An Indochinese Buddhist Monk is the most expensive artwork by Gustave Hierholtz that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit An Indochinese Buddhist Monk von Gustave Hierholtz wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 10.862,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 140.000,00 angegeben worden.
