Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection de Monsieur & Madame Robert Schmit | Œuvres choisies – Session I, which included the work Rivage normand by Gustave Courbet. The price achieved of EUR 69,300 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as EUR 60,000 - 80,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Courbet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme Nue Couchée in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 15,285,000 (€ 14,471,691).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection de Monsieur & Madame Robert Schmit | Œuvres choisies – Session I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rivage normand von Gustave Courbet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 69.300 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 60.000 – 80.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave Courbet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme Nue Couchée im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.285.000 (€ 14.471.691).
