Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les Gorges des Saillon by Gustave Courbet was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,317.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Courbet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme Nue Couchée in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 15,285,000.00 (€ 14,471,690.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Les Gorges des Saillon von Gustave Courbet kam im Juli 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.317,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave Courbet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme Nue Couchée im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.285.000,00 (€ 14.471.690,97).
