Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Catherine I of Russia Negotiating The Treaty of Prut With The Turks by Gustave Boulanger was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2006. The price achieved of GBP 66,000.00 (€ 95,500.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gustave Boulanger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Cour du Palais de Dar Khdaouedj El Amia, Alger in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 576,000.00 (€ 480,200.08).

Die Arbeit Catherine I of Russia Negotiating The Treaty of Prut With The Turks von Gustave Boulanger kam im Juni 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 66.000,00 (€ 95.500,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustave Boulanger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Cour du Palais de Dar Khdaouedj El Amia, Alger im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 576.000,00 (€ 480.200,08).
