Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Tribute by Gustave Boulanger was sold in the The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 107,100.00 (€ 126,979.10). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustave Boulanger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Cour du Palais de Dar Khdaouedj El Amia, Alger, which sold at auction in October 2005 for USD 576,000.00 (€ 480,200.08).
