A top price for Gustav Vermehren - as previously expected
In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work Sweethearts At Dusk by Gustav Vermehren. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,482.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Sweethearts At Dusk is the most expensive artwork by Gustav Vermehren that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im September 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sweethearts At Dusk von Gustav Vermehren zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.482,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Sweethearts At Dusk das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gustav Vermehren, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
