A top price for Guo Chuanzhang
The work Boats Sailing Afar by Guo Chuanzhang was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 138,600.00 (€ 15,351.08), 73% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Boats Sailing Afar the most expensive artwork by Guo Chuanzhang that we have observed at auctions so far.
