Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gan'yu (Stars), 2005 by Gulumbu Yunupingu was auctioned at Bonhams in Sidney in June last year. The price achieved of AUD 861.00 (€ 822.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gulumbu Yunupingu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work GANYU (STARS), 2009 in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 22,680.00 (€ 18,544.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gan'yu (Stars), 2005 von Gulumbu Yunupingu kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sidney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 861,00 (€ 822,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gulumbu Yunupingu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit GANYU (STARS), 2009 im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.680,00 (€ 18.544,56).
