Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The women artists offering their jewelry on the Altar of the Nation, 7 September 1789 by Guillaume Guillon-Lethière was sold in the Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries auction at Sothebys in New York in January last year. The price achieved of USD 30,240.00 (€ 26,971.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guillaume Guillon-Lethière achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Brutus Condemning His Sons in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 852,500.00 (€ 706,062.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The women artists offering their jewelry on the Altar of the Nation, 7 September 1789 von Guillaume Guillon-Lethière wurde im Januar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
