Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2002 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A secret rendezvous by Guillaume-Charles Brun. The price achieved of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,839.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guillaume-Charles Brun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French La Mendiante in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 161,000.00 (€ 118,035.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A secret rendezvous von Guillaume-Charles Brun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.839,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guillaume-Charles Brun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French La Mendiante im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 118.035,19).
