The result of EUR 3,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Günter Brus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Von unten nach oben in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 200,000.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Romantische abstraction (für J.Offenbach) von Günter Brus kam im Oktober 2021 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Günter Brus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Von unten nach oben im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 200.000,00.
