Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gu Fang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 180,000.00 (€ 19,694.66) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gu Fang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 517,500.00 (€ 50,657.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gu Fang erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 180.000,00 (€ 19.694,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gu Fang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 517.500,00 (€ 50.657,47) versteigert wurde.
