Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Gregory Gillespie was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2014. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,867.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gregory Gillespie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a Painter (formerly titled Dark Painter) in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 52,875.00 (€ 62,536.96).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gregory Gillespie kam im Juli 2014 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.867,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gregory Gillespie erzielen.
