Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Travel and Vintage Posters, which included the work Zoo by F. Gregory Brown. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,021.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by F. Gregory Brown have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2012 the work Zoo, Kangaroos was auctioned for GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,476.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Travel and Vintage Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Zoo von F. Gregory Brown zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.021,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von F. Gregory Brown konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2012 die Arbeit Zoo, Kangaroos für GBP 1.187,50 (€ 1.476,45) versteigert.
