Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Composizione con frutta by Gregorio Sciltian was worth EUR 3,500.00 to a buyer in December last year. This price was achieved in the auction 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures at Il Ponte and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 800.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gregorio Sciltian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musikstunde in March 2007 with an auction result of EUR 61,200.00.

Die Arbeit Composizione con frutta von Gregorio Sciltian war einem Käufer im Dezember letzten Jahres EUR 3.500,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures bei Il Ponte erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 800,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gregorio Sciltian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Musikstunde im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 61.200,00.
