Auction result well in line with expectations
The work San Nicola by Gregorio Preti was sold in the Old Master Pictures auction at Christies in Milan in May 2011. The price achieved of EUR 13,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gregorio Preti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cristo e il tributo, which sold at auction in December 2002 for EUR 49,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit San Nicola von Gregorio Preti wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Old Master Pictures bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 13.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gregorio Preti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cristo e il tributo beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für EUR 49.600,00 versteigert wurde.
