Auction result well in line with expectations

In September 2000 Christies in London held the auction Exploration & Travel with Visions of India, which included the work Cape Cottages by Gregoire Johannes Boonzaier. The price achieved of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,932.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gregoire Johannes Boonzaier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Haystacks, which sold at auction in December 2008 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,533.61).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im September 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion Exploration & Travel with Visions of India durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cape Cottages von Gregoire Johannes Boonzaier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.932,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gregoire Johannes Boonzaier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Haystacks beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 8.533,61) versteigert wurde.
