Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Image World | Contemporary Art from a Private American Collection, which included the work Door gods (origami paper): Inward and outside 4 by Greg Parma Smith. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,429.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Greg Parma Smith have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2016 the work Vibrant Colour Pencil Techniques 2 was auctioned for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,484.82).
