Despite a disappointment, a good price for Grattan Condon
When the work Quirts Flying 24 x 36 in. framed 32 x 43 in. by Grattan Condon was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,191.81). Despite this disappointing result, Quirts Flying 24 x 36 in. framed 32 x 43 in. is the most expensive artwork by Grattan Condon that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Grattan Condon
Als die Arbeit Quirts Flying 24 x 36 in. framed 32 x 43 in. von Grattan Condon im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.191,81) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Quirts Flying 24 x 36 in. framed 32 x 43 in. das teuerste Kunstwerk von Grattan Condon, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
