Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS, INCLUDING SCOTTISH PICTURES, which included the work Dignity by Graham McKean. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 998.75 (€ 1,611.58), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Graham McKean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No Regrets in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,476.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS, INCLUDING SCOTTISH PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dignity von Graham McKean zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 998,75 (€ 1.611,58) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Graham McKean auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No Regrets im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.476,23).
