Auction result well in line with expectations
The work ‘Striking Portrait Of Mr Franklin In Characteristic Oratorical Pose’ by Graham Laidler was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,138.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Graham Laidler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work ‘Popular Misconceptions – How To Win The War’, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,984.94).
