Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2003 Christies in London held the auction THE IRISH SALE, which included the work Artichoke by Graham Knuttel. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,110.43). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Graham Knuttel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Sailor, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,712.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE IRISH SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Artichoke von Graham Knuttel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.232,50 (€ 3.110,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Graham Knuttel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Sailor beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.712,35) versteigert wurde.
