Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Laughing Stock by Graham Dean was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Graham Dean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British Think in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 4,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Laughing Stock von Graham Dean kam im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Graham Dean auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit British Think im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.750,00.
