Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work The Gardener, Portrait Of Paul Henry by Grace Henry. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,039.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Grace Henry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The rosary, which sold at auction in May 2000 for GBP 21,150.00 (€ 33,937.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Gardener, Portrait Of Paul Henry von Grace Henry zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.039,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Grace Henry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The rosary beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für GBP 21.150,00 (€ 33.937,95) versteigert wurde.
