Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work Achill Island by Grace Henry. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,892.93). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Grace Henry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The rosary, which sold at auction in May 2000 for GBP 21,150.00 (€ 33,937.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Achill Island von Grace Henry zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.800,00 (€ 15.892,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Grace Henry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The rosary beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für GBP 21.150,00 (€ 33.937,95) versteigert wurde.
