Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gottfried Wals could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work An Italianate River Landscape With Shepherds Watering Their Flock Beneath A Ruin changed hands for USD 68,750.00 (€ 50,219.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gottfried Wals - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape With A Herdsman Watering His Animals On The Shore Of A Lake, A Farmhouse On The Right, which sold at auction in December 2013 for GBP 88,900.00 (€ 106,932.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gottfried Wals konnte im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wechselte die Arbeit An Italianate River Landscape With Shepherds Watering Their Flock Beneath A Ruin für USD 68.750,00 (€ 50.219,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gottfried Wals mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape With A Herdsman Watering His Animals On The Shore Of A Lake, A Farmhouse On The Right beobachtet, die im Dezember 2013 für GBP 88.900,00 (€ 106.932,91) versteigert wurde.
