Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Standing woman by Gottfred Eickhoff was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 10,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 8,000.00 (€ 1,073.99). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gottfred Eickhoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study for “Navigare”, lying woman, which sold at auction in January 2024 for DKK 3,400.00 (€ 2,971.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Standing woman von Gottfred Eickhoff im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 10.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 8.000,00 (€ 1.073,99) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Gottfred Eickhoff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study for “Navigare”, lying woman beobachtet, die im Januar 2024 für DKK 3.400,00 (€ 2.971,51) versteigert wurde.
