Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work The Virgin In Prayer by Gortzius Geldorp for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,158.49). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Gortzius Geldorp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Virgin And Child With Saint Anne in May 2019 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,808.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Virgin In Prayer von Gortzius Geldorp für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.158,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gortzius Geldorp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Virgin And Child With Saint Anne im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.808,95).
