In the Icons of Glamour & Style : The Constantiner Collection auction, the work Marilyn Monroe, c. 1959 sold for EUR 10,625.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gordon Parks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work American Gothic, Washington D.C., which sold at auction in October last year for USD 21,420.00 (€ 21,562.31).

In der Auktion Icons of Glamour & Style : The Constantiner Collection wurde die Arbeit Marilyn Monroe, c. 1959 für EUR 10.625,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gordon Parks mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit American Gothic, Washington D.C. beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für USD 21.420,00 (€ 21.562,31) versteigert wurde.
