The work Wheel Of Cheese by Gordon Cook was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2018. It achieved a price of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,836.94), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gordon Cook; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Delta Levee-Night, 1982 sold at auction in September this year with the realized price of USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,628.12).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.836,94) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gordon Cook; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Delta Levee-Night, 1982 im September diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.628,12).
