Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pan of water by Gordon Cook was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2012. It achieved a price of EUR 1,750.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gordon Cook - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Delta Levee-Night, 1982, which sold at auction in September this year for USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,628.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pan of water von Gordon Cook kam im März 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.750,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Gordon Cook mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Delta Levee-Night, 1982 beobachtet, die im September diesen Jahres für USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.628,12) versteigert wurde.
