Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Las Cigarreras (The Cigarette Makers) by Gonzalo Bilbao was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 17,300.00 (€ 24,224.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gonzalo Bilbao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Las Majas En El Parque (Women In The Park), which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 42,500.00 (€ 59,511.00).

Die Arbeit Las Cigarreras (The Cigarette Makers) von Gonzalo Bilbao kam im November 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.300,00 (€ 24.224,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gonzalo Bilbao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Las Majas En El Parque (Women In The Park) beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 42.500,00 (€ 59.511,00) versteigert wurde.
