Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Masque by Gonçalo Mabunda was auctioned at Artcurial in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,493.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gonçalo Mabunda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Totem in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 15,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Masque von Gonçalo Mabunda kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.493,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gonçalo Mabunda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Totem im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.600,00.
