Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composition with humans and animals by Gösta Nystroem was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 100,000.00 (€ 9,754.58). Admittedly, works by Gösta Nystroem have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Flicka i svart hatt" in November 2017 with an auction result of SEK 420,000.00 (€ 42,218.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composition with humans and animals von Gösta Nystroem im November 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 100.000,00 (€ 9.754,58) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gösta Nystroem auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Flicka i svart hatt" im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 420.000,00 (€ 42.218,86).
