Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Near Newton Ferrars, Devon by Godwin Bennett. The price achieved of GBP 360.00 (€ 531.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Other works by Godwin Bennett have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2004 the work An interior of the Brighton Pavilion; and Another similar was auctioned for GBP 597.50 (€ 896.47).
