In October 2003 Christies in London held the auction 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE, which included the work Gun Salute by Glynn Williams. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 705.00 (€ 1,029.72), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Glynn Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Girls From 1907 (After Picasso) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 66,369.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gun Salute von Glynn Williams zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 705,00 (€ 1.029,72) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Glynn Williams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Girls From 1907 (After Picasso) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 66.369,47).
