Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gjon Mili could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Bag Puncher, Doris de Green; and Don Vaughn, Jr. changed hands for USD 239.00 (€ 144.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gjon Mili achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Picasso Space Drawings, France, 1949 in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 22,800.00 (€ 19,007.92).
