Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2011 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Dipinti Antichi, Dipinti del Secolo XIX, Libri Antichi, Arredi, Giade, Oggetti d'Arte e la Collezione del Marchese Nicola Santangelo, which included the work San Pietro E Il Gallo by Giuseppe Vermiglio. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 12,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Vermiglio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ before Pilate in May this year with an auction result of USD 478,800.00 (€ 449,408.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2011 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Dipinti Antichi, Dipinti del Secolo XIX, Libri Antichi, Arredi, Giade, Oggetti d'Arte e la Collezione del Marchese Nicola Santangelo durch, in der auch die Arbeit San Pietro E Il Gallo von Giuseppe Vermiglio zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 12.500,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Vermiglio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christ before Pilate im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 478.800,00 (€ 449.408,67).
