Sold at the upper estimate price
In June 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Penitent Saint Peter by Giuseppe Vermiglio. The auction ended at the price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 34,428.15), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Vermiglio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ before Pilate in May this year with an auction result of USD 478,800.00 (€ 449,408.67).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Penitent Saint Peter von Giuseppe Vermiglio zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 34.428,15) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Vermiglio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christ before Pilate im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 478.800,00 (€ 449.408,67).
