Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2007 Christies in Milan held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Commiato di Cristo dalla Vergine by Giuseppe Vermiglio. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 99,200.00 24% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Vermiglio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Christ before Pilate in May this year with an auction result of USD 478,800.00 (€ 449,408.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Commiato di Cristo dalla Vergine von Giuseppe Vermiglio zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 99.200,00 und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Vermiglio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Christ before Pilate im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 478.800,00 (€ 449.408,67).
