The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,377.50 (€ 7,028.76), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Passeri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Madonna And Child In Glory, Attended By A Company of Angels in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,673.14).
