Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Christies in Paris held the auction Tableaux 1400-1900, which included the work Vues de Paestum by Giuseppe Palizzi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Palizzi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Al Pascolo in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 36,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Tableaux 1400-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vues de Paestum von Giuseppe Palizzi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Palizzi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Al Pascolo im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 36.000,00.
