In November 2015 Il Ponte held the auction Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo, which included the work Venezia. Bacino di San Marco by Giuseppe Novello. The auction ended at the price of EUR 3,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Novello - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dame with Biscuits, which sold at auction in March 2013 for EUR 8,000.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2015 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venezia. Bacino di San Marco von Giuseppe Novello zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Novello mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Dame with Biscuits beobachtet, die im März 2013 für EUR 8.000,00 versteigert wurde.
