Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2012 Christies in Paris held the auction Dessins Anciens et du XIXème Siècle, which included the work Jeune homme vu de dos, accompagné d'un petit garçon by Giuseppe Gambarini. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Giuseppe Gambarini have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2004 the work Peasants dancing in a landscape surrounded by musicians was auctioned for GBP 6,572.50 (€ 9,932.49).
