Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work A relaxing afternoon by Giuseppe Constantini for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,389.95). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Constantini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An artisan's family in an interior in April 2001 with an auction result of GBP 11,162.50 (€ 17,995.35).
