Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Venice, a view of the Molo with the Libreria; Venice, a view of the Molo with the Palazzo Ducale by Giuseppe Borsato was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2021. The price achieved of USD 23,940.00 (€ 19,728.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Borsato - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grand Canal, Venice, which sold at auction in June 2018 for EUR 60,000.00.

Die Arbeit Venice, a view of the Molo with the Libreria; Venice, a view of the Molo with the Palazzo Ducale von Giuseppe Borsato kam im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.940,00 (€ 19.728,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Borsato mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grand Canal, Venice beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für EUR 60.000,00 versteigert wurde.
