This artwork by Giuseppe Barbaglia achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in November 2016. In the 19th and 20th Century Paintings and Sculptures auction, the work La raccolta del fieno sold for EUR 3,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,600.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Giuseppe Barbaglia; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fiera degli Oh Bej! Oh Bej! in Piazza Sant'Ambrogio. Milano sold at auction in June last year with the realized price of EUR 4,000.00.
